Hendrik has kindly sent some analysis of 2 positions from the second round.
Damien v Davy Black to play
"Black being a pawn up should have won like this:"
1... h4
2 fxg5 Kxg5
3 Ke3 f4
4 Ke4 f3!
5 Kf3 Kf5
6 Ke3 Ke5
7 Kf3 Kxd5
8 Kg4 Ke4
9 Kxh4 d5
(9... Kf4 10.Kh5 d5 11.h4 d4 12.Kg6 d3 13.h5 d2 14.h6 d1=Q 15.h7 Qd4)
10.Kg3 Ke3! 11.h4 d4 ...
The text move was 1... Kf6? instead allowing
2.h4!! gxf4 (2... gxh4 3.Kg2 or 2... g4+ 3.Kg3 don't help Black either)
3.Kxf4 Kg6
3.Kf3 f4 (3... Kf7 4.Ke3 leads to the same line)
4.Kxf4 Kf6
5.Ke4 Kg6 and so on - DRAW
White missed his chance by moving his king after which
2... gxf4 3.Kxf4 h4 decided the day for black.
Admittedly, this was not exactly basic stuff.
